Snoring can be Reduced by 76% with New Therapy

November 2, 2012 by admin

Ventus Medical is making its newly introduced Theravent Snore Therapy available in a free* 14-night trial for the 45 million people in the US who snore. Theravent is an ideal solution for snorers who do not have obstructive sleep apnea, but whose snoring reduces their sleep quality and that of their bed partner.

Theravent is a disposable nightly snoring device that is FDA-cleared to reduce or eliminate snoring.  It has been proven to reduce snoring in the separate clinical studies and is available without a prescription.  On average, successful Theravent users reduced snoring by 76%, as measured using a decibel meter worn on the forehead. Theravent uses the same patented MicroValve Technology that was previously only available with a prescription.

Jim Jespersen-Wheat from Los Angeles, California is a heavy snorer and has been using Theravent Snore Therapy for several weeks. “Results for me were immediate,” says Mr. Jespersen-Wheat.  “My snoring stopped!  It took me a day or two to get used to breathing with Theravent, but now I wear it while I’m reading in bed and I hardly notice it’s there.  I have a pretty loud snore.  That’s gone!  It is absolutely amazing.”

Theravent is a new, clinically proven, over-the-counter treatment for snoring. Theravent offers a proven solution for patients whose snoring is affecting the quality of their and their partners’ sleep. Used nightly, Theravent gives snorers and their partners a quiet night’s sleep. Theravent uses patented MicroValve Technology, previously only available with a prescription, to target and treat snoring. During inhalation, the MicroValves open–allowing nearly unobstructed airflow. During exhalation, the MicroValves partially close, which increases expiratory pressure and keeps the airway open, preventing snoring. Theravent received FDA clearance in June of 2012. Theravent is not intended to treat obstructive sleep apnea.
