SLEEP DIAGNOSTICS
The Salter Labs ThermiSense™ Thermal Airflow Sensing Systemis a diagnostic thermal resistive thermistor designed to monitor the airflow temperature changes during sleep studies. It uses specifically designed cannulas with patent pending holder and pocket to align the nasal thermistors in the optimal position. The oral trunk of the thermistor is malleable to position in the oral airflow path. It will deliver an accurate signal to the head box of the PSG and can be used in conjunction with the Salter Labs BiNAPS® Airflow Pressure/Snore Transducer or other pressure transducer to meet the AASM guidelines.
SENSOR TECHNOLOGY
The ThermiSense™ uses a thermistor that reacts to the temperature changes in the airflow from the nasal/oral airflow path. The electronic signal is transmitted to the head box of the PSG recorder through two Kevlar® reinforced cables with 1.5mm touch proof female DIN connectors. The unit has an integral continuity testing circuit to check the head box leads as well as the thermistor. There are no batteries required for use.
WARRANTY
The Salter Labs ThermiSense™ has a 12-month warranty on the interface box and 3 month warranty on the thermistor.
CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND TRAINING
Customer support and training is provided by our trained staff of sales representatives in conjunction with an on-line tutorial on set-up and settings for the PSG montage.
