Good news for HME Providers to grow their Sleep Business

October 2, 2014 by admin

ResMed’s expanded relationship with Brightree promises HME providers more cost effective growth to manage their sleep business.

ResMed recently announced they would enhance their existing integration of their premium sleep compliance solution (U-Sleep) and Brightree’s billing and business management systems with added features and capabilities from Airview, their patient management system.

The first of these enhancements is scheduled for release in November 2014. It will give HMEs the flexibility to choose the patient management system that best suits their needs (U-Sleep or AirView), both of which will be seamlessly accessible within the Brightree solution.

Key features of future enhancements include

ü  Enhanced support for ResMed’s recently-launched AirSense 10 positive airway pressure (PAP) devices

ü  Improved patient boarding interfaces, reporting, and compliance notifications

ü  Access to additional reports (including therapy and compliance reports) and improved usability

ü  Accelerated access to data within the Brightree platform for patients using ResMed devices

ResMed and Brightree have been collaborating since 2013 to automate the onboarding of patients that use ResMed S9 positive airway pressure devices into U-Sleep. Some of the innovative capabilities they have introduced include notifications in the Brightree system when a patient has reached CMS compliance guidelines, and reporting of patient use for audit purposes or referral source education.

“By expanding our integration with Brightree, we will be able to advance our goal of seamlessly delivering sleep and respiratory compliance management data and features where and how our customers want to use them,” says Raj Sodhi, Vice President, ResMed Healthcare Informatics.
